Car Ad with a Twist
Two guys are driving in a car. One is talking about saving money from whatever sale for the car was on. The other suggested he use the money he saved to pay down his credit card debt.
Thanks for finally starting to get it.
Now how about cutting back the bullshit financing traps like 72-96 month loans. Any vehicle should be priced so it can be paid for in 48 months. But that doesn’t do enough of a disservice to the consumer.

AdSense is slow moving
The bucks aren’t rolling in. I am going to have to work on my keywording so I can get a better selection of ads appearing on the site.

Buying ads, writing, sleep
I am really interested in boosting the traffic to my blogs. I would like to start buying text ads. Advertising is something you have to have a long commitment to. You can’t just throw something together and get discouraged a week later. You’re doing good if you see a 10% increase in traffic during the first week. Don’t expect a surge that knocks the web server offline. I am starting to see people’s blogs show up in Google Adsense and other text link ads. I am planning on either changing the name of my LLC or starting another one for this. I may go ahead and start the ad process before I file the paperwork with the state. I’ll have to monitor the traffic so that I am able to make a profit from the it. I am going to try doubling the hits in a week. I am going to have to work out my schedule so that I have more time to write. I am finding that I am needing more sleep the farther we get into the week. Sleep’s important but sleep costs me money. But I am able to write more as I get more rest.

PensRUs: Business Logo Pens
The most common form of person to person advertising is handing out business cards. They’re a proven medium for getting contact information into people’s hands. We could call them an advertising microchannel, though I doubt that term is actually in use. Another way of getting your name in front of people is by having logo pens imprinted. I know people who carry them in addition to business cards. Some companies have the higher-end pens imprinted and use them as gifts for executives.

Blog Advertising…Blog Marketing
I have been working on building up my blogging business for a couple of months now. I’ve written posts about a number of websites and products and have passed along links to friends who might have a use for the things I have written about. Yesterday I was in a restaurant and saw a woman using a purse from a company I wrote a post about. I talked to her for a second and she received the bag as a gift and really likes it. I don’t know how the person who gave it to her found out about it. It may have been from a blog advertising campaign the company was using or it could have been some other link off the internet or an infomercial. The important thing is that sites like Smorty dot com have created an advertising channel out of blogs which allows companies to spread the word about their products to more people around the world. If they aren’t doing it already, I would expect ad agencies to include blog advertising in a comprehensive package. So for probably a small amount above the standard rate a company can spread their word through blogs in addition to print and broadcast. I am really glad to be a part of it.

Pay Per Play Audio Advertising
Everyone who has ever recorded a television program has at some time hit the fast forward button at commercial break and then tried to time hitting play or pause so that they’re either back watching their show or have maybe 2 seconds of the last commercial left. It is hard to do and usually you end up overshooting, stopping, and backing up. You can’t really do this while driving so people play CDs and subscribe to satellite radio to hear what they want without ads and annoying DJs talking up to a minute into a song. With the internet we’ve clicked banners and had pop up ads served. Well now there’s a company that has developed a unique way of reaching internet users via five-second audio. Net Audio Ads is offering a way to place advertisers’ content in front of listeners. The ads only run 5 seconds per visit and don’t interfere with the viewing of a page. These are served via Javascript and can run on any web page or blog. The audio is very high quality, clear, crisp and reminds me of the better audio ads from radio. The opportunity to get in on this venture is for a limited time and payment is by play not by click. So when a visitor comes to your site they don’t have to click an ad or order anything for you to earn a commission. Check them out and listen to a sample of the audio.

Freedom to mind my business
One of the things I have learned recently is that I need to mind my business and that not minding my business leads to distraction, frustration and loss of revenue. The task of bringing a product to market is sufficiently complex in and of itself. Manufacture is my business, not shopping for advertising deals. Yes I do need to get my product in front of people. So how am I going to do that? Call the newspapers? Okay that’s one channel. Well maybe instead I pick a print ad agency. Now I have someone working for me who can get me in both newspapers and magazines. Am I done? If what I am after is a warehouse of half-sold product. So then I try online. Well that print ad agency offers online banner ad services. The thing they don’t offer is TV. So I put in a call to the local TV stations. So now I’ve got three or four local commercials on and ads in print and everything looks more or less the same. Now I’ve been to five places and have five bills coming and while I have been doing all this hustling I haven’t been minding my business and now I have to get my people back on track and deal with potential lost revenue because I don’t have enough product on hand. Just from the bills from each TV station I see a difference in television advertising cost. Each TV spot has different writing, actors, settings and they’re supposedly about the same topic. My ad campaign ends up being as haphazard as the shopping around I did for the ads. Would it not have been better to find one source for my advertising campaign? HawthorneDirect is that source. Instead of me having to schedule meetings all over the city and then having to do something similar in other cities across the state, I can schedule a single meeting with one team get one integrated ad campaign and reach people during prime time with a short commercial run a half hour informercial later at night, show them my product in a print ad and have them click a banner and come to my website. Now I have time to concentrate on my product and the ads all blend together properly because they were all developed from a single concept. They’ve provided efficient and focused advertising for some of the most well known companies in the world. Have a look at their web site at hawthornedirect.com.
