Odd Nausea

July 26th, 2007 § 0

I was on the way to Wal-Mart for one of my 2am peregrinations (walking around the store and shopping). I had turned on CoastToCoastAm and tonight was the ouija board show. I listen to Coast on the way home every night. They were about 25min from pulling out the board and doing whatever when I started feeling nausea. Now occasionally I’ll have nausea from eating something too fast or too much of a certain thing. It’s seldom something I can predict and is actually kind of rare. The more George Noory talked about the board and using it the worse I felt. I started thinking about how I wasn’t feeling like that until I turned on the radio. Then I thought Something’s up. I need to shut off the radio. So I switched it off and over the next half hour I got better. It’s been 2 hours since this happened and I feel fine. There’s maybe a tiny twinge of a sensation from earlier but nothing like what I felt before I turned off the show. Now I don’t know if it was God, the Holy Spirit, my Higher Self, Guardian Angel, or what, but I really think shutting down the radio was the right thing to do tonight. I can download the show and play it back later to “test” this, but I am not sure if I am going to do that.

Interesting day at work

July 26th, 2007 § 0

I actually made it through the entire shift without any caffeine. I did take a SleepMD before I went to bed, but I had trouble falling asleep.

Changes in sense of smell

July 16th, 2007 § 0

It’s been less than 7 years since I first noticed it. I am really sensitive to the smell of human sweat. I think I first noticed it at work because there is a certain hallway where the A/C guys need to switch out the filters on a more regular basis. In this particular hall, as soon as you come in from the stairwell or step off the elevator, the air smells like perfume and sweat. When I was younger I don’t recall noticing it. Now whenever someone has been sweating, the scent hits my nose and I have to deal with it. I won’t call it a stench or stink or anything. It’s just an odor that for some reason I have a reaction to.

Need to cut the SleepMD pills in half

I’m still trying to get the caffeine to kick in fully.

Sheesh.

Bleh….groggy

I bought a box of SleepMD since I am an extremely light sleeper and have trouble staying asleep. It works well but has melatonin, which always makes it hard to crank the engine in the morning.

The Ex Chronicles: Tales of Crazy Woman #346

Chapter 1: The Erection

This was late in 2003.

So we were in her doctor’s office waiting for her son to come out of the surgical procedure he was having done and she hands me this brochure for Levitra and says, “I think it’s the new Viagra.”

Okay to avoid giving TMI: during nearly all; and there really weren’t that many; of our interludes, the subjects of her virtue, reputation and church status came up A L-O-T. So at some point it got to where I was almost afraid of starting something I would never stop hearing about.

So anyway, I’ve got this brochure in my hand and I’m looking at it, and while I didn’t say it, the only thought going through my mind was, “What’s the point of an erection if I’m not allowed to do anything with it?”

The Common Cold: Skimming the Surface

June 21st, 2007 § 0

I have had an extremely mild cold this week. It’s only Thursday and I am almost completely over it.

Weird.

They all start out the same.

First there is this scratchy/stingy feeling way back in my nasal cavity where it meets up with my throat. That usually lasts for a day and a half. Then a few sneezes, some coughs. Then 3-5 days of sinus/stuffy/noseblow head. Then a couple of weeks of dry coughing at very inconvenient times, like when I am talking to someone.

I have been taking Theraflu Cold & Cough, ColdMD (really good sh*t), and Emergen-C. After this I’ll drop back to Emergen-C.

I normally get head colds. Back in December I got a chest cold. First time in like 20 years. Really freaked me out.

The seldom examined truth about male pills

March 23rd, 2007 § 0

By the time a man needs Enzyte, Viagra, Levitra, Cialis, Viapren Strips, and so forth, he is usually taking Maximum Strength Excedrin, Doan’s Pills, and Glucosamine/Chondroitin and thus can’t go far once he gets it up.

On mandatory vaccines

March 13th, 2007 § 1

When I consider the pressure here in Texas placed upon families, schools, and the medical profession to force young girls to take the HPV vaccine, I am persuaded that perhaps gubernatorial should be spelled goobernatorial.

Cold: The gift that keeps on giving

Looks like I caught my boss’s cold.

The next 10 days are going to be fun.
