But don’t pray for me.
The last few weeks I have been trying to lay on the charm when talking to women. I didn’t used to be like this. I was branded painfully shy once. Maybe I’m coming out of it.
So today we had some United Way agencies visit work. I was talking to one of the United Way employees about a former coworker who left to work for them.
I said, “Yeah we might need to kidnap him. But that would involve the police and FBI and that can’t be good.”
So she said, “And I’d be deeply hurt, too, if you did that.”
And I said, “Oh no. Don’t want that. I’d rather go to jail.”
The thing is, it just rolled off the tongue. I didn’t think about it ahead of time.
