Better if read aloud with a fake Russian accent

December 23rd, 2008 § 0

I am beautifull solitary a woman, which believes in persisting love and romantic of feeling, I am want to find its second half and create strong and friendly family. I simply want human happiness, love and be loved! I want to find the persisting man clever good, generous, attentive, romantic, ready for all for the sake of loved women!! Which values in women a kindness, tenderness emotional beauty. am ready to be your loving friend ,distance may lie btw us but i promise to get and keep reaching all the time..mind you age ,distance and colour are not barier to any relationship i engage into..i really cherish and care alot about you

I get this kind of crap every now and then in my email on MySpace. So tonight at work I gave a dramatic reading in a cartoon Russian accent and I got laughs. I think these people write their stuff in their native language and run it through BabelFish.

Glovequest – SUCCESS!!!

December 23rd, 2008 § 0

I am unequivocally a 33° Grandmaster Misplacer of Gloves and Loser of At Least One Glove out of a pair. So when I left work I went to Wal-y World and found a pair of work gloves with Thinsulate. Unfortunately this was the only pair left of the cold weather work gloves and it did not fit. So I went to another store and found several in Large. So now I can leave work without my fingers seizing up on me.

2012: The Church and Voodoo Mathematics

December 22nd, 2008 § 0

Last week on Coast to Coast AM a caller spoke about the possibility that we’re in fact in 2012 because of errors in the calendars. There have been significant changes and adjustments in the calendars, part of that having to do with setting Anno Domeni beginning with the birth of Jesus and not having a clear lock on when that was. So you will see birth dates of 3-4BC. When I first saw that I snickered and thought it was cute that Jesus was born in “BC.” So anyway, with a 4-year discrepancy it could be 2011 or 2012 right now but we don’t know. December 21st was yesterday and there was no spiritual tsunami passing over the planet. At least I didn’t notice anything different. One POV is that this is an ongoing transformation occurring sometime around 2012. The Mayan Calendar ends December 21, 2012, supposedly at 11:11am. By the calendar most of us use, that is a Friday. Until I see some evidence of some change in humanity and the planet having already taken place, I’ll keep reading and watching until that Friday rolls around.

Star Trek Voyager: It’s Your Baby

December 20th, 2008 § 0

From time to time when a man hears “It’s your baby,” the child is actually his. Other times, he’s being lied to. When two men are both told “It’s your baby,” the woman is lying to one, maybe both. In this Voyager ep, Maneuvers, the Cardassian woman Seska takes a sample of the Human Chakotay’s DNA and tries to create and implant a zygote impregnating herself. At the same time she’s banging Mage Cullah of the Kazon. She tells both men that they are the father. As it turns out in a later episode, the kid is half Kazon/half Cardassian.

Ah the games…

Sucky foreign language overlay

December 19th, 2008 § 0

I downloaded a video and it has an audio track in Spanish that plays simultaneously. This is annoying in either language. It sounds like the characters are at a loud cocktail party.

An Inconvenient Movie: A review of The Day The Earth Stood Still

December 18th, 2008 § 0

I saw it on Sat. I waited to let more people see the thing. I had to check to see if this was made by the Emmerichs of Independence Day fame. The special effects were excellent, but that’s only form. The movie was riddled with overlapping unresolved story lines. You would need a 10hr mini-series to flesh it all out. The overall theme is that we’re destroying the planet. So here comes the morally superior alien to eradicate the human race so evolution can try again. The first film was a warning to the human race. This was mostly Judgment Day. This film felt a lot more militarized…it was all classified, top secret, need to know, lock down…but I guess we’re better conditioned for that now than we were back in the early 1950s. If you haven’t seen the first film, go see that, then catch this remake.

Alexa Rank Drops 200,000

December 17th, 2008 § 0

That means it went from just less than 350,000 to just under 550,000. Hmmm. Could it have anything to do with my participation with the traffice exchange system Entrecard? If it does I don’t care. I like Entrecard and I’m not stopping. I’ve found a lot of interesting blogs through Entrecard and I’ve developed connections with some of those people on other social networks as a result. I am becoming persuaded that much of these ranking systems are based on different agenda and have nothing to do with the value of a site. I post here daily. And I plan on buying advertising on other sites.

A calculated risk

December 16th, 2008 § 0

It’s the convenience thing again. I have been mailing checks to pay my house note and a few times I have been late. Well rather than have them eat up what little would go to principal I have decided to start calling in the payment. The Post Office is too unpredictable. A payment might get there in two days and other times five. The risk is in giving acct info over the phone. But I’ve found this company to be mostly fair. Fortunately there is no fee for this service.

Where am I?
