Police raid not surprising

Police in St. Paul raided the HQ of a protest group called the RNC Welcoming Committee. I’m not surprised at this, however I have to wonder 1) why the cause of the warrant is not being made public and 2) whether they disclosed the reason to the people they raided. A 19-year old member of the group said “there were no bombs or anything here” to the reporter. At least he wasn’t at the airport when he said that.

A “warrant” for an “undisclosed reason” to justify a police action against political oposition groups. People “detained” but not arrested? Photographs taken? Wasn’t that what was happening in Africa a few months ago? and in Pakistan, and in Russia just ahead of the last election, and Tibet? Why are the citizens of the greatest democracy the world has ever known giving up their freedom and accepting this behavior from their government?

The Republican and Democratic stranglehold on power tightens its grip.

Unfortunately…that is what happens when you confront fascists. They will come after you under any excuse to intimidate you out of exposing them.
Hopefully…we will remove the fascist/terrorists from power!

These bastards (the police) are acting on stereotypes that anyone who is willing to speak out against the Bush regime is “a terrorist.” Every American should be alarmed that we can be silenced and that the Bush administration is enacting illegal hushing of innocent people who have the right to convene and protest peacefully. What happened to our RIGHTS? Where are they? I HATE THIS ADMINISTRATION AND WHAT IT HAS DONE!

Sounds to me like anything that goes against the political aspect of this election is a no no. We are no longer a nation of freedom but a nation enslaved to the government instead of controling the government,
