Did the people who believed the Earth was flat ever climb mountains? How can one look at the curvature of the Earth and assume it’s flat? Or did they think we were squatting on a disc? Oh well. If you repeat absurdities enough you can sentence people to death for thinking otherwise.

Russert Distraction
June 19th, 2008 § 1
The tragic death of Tim Russert is popping up in the news too much. From analysts talking about him and interviewing people who worked for him to websites talking about what he might have done to avoid what happened…there are too many stories. What are we not being told that we need to know? Hopefully we can see a clearing of this “coverage” to find out that something else happened while we were “away.”
Slickness

I stopped by the grocery store and grabbed a magazine with the rest of my stuff. I went through it and tore out all of the insert/subscription cards and threw them in the trash can while I was in the checkout line.

When the millstone of incredulity reaches critical mass, cut the line. See and believe.
Curious Conversions
June 17th, 2008 § 0
Evidently shortly after leaving office Fmr. PM Tony Blair converted to Roman Catholicism. I don’t know much about his religion before that. Now I’m reading that there is a chance that George W. Bush may convert to Roman Catholicism. Now the smoke screen in the article about Bush says something about his recent visit with the Pope and the strong right to life contingent in the Catholic Church. To take a look behind the dressing screen which is whatever is going as the official story, we have these two acting in concert again. That usually means something is up. We may be looking at some sort of religious false flag event. It’s just speculation now. The next LED to come on will be seeing these two together at a Catholic ceremony.
Dangers of Star Trek
June 16th, 2008 § 0
As much as I have loved the Star Trek series over the years I am forced to the conclusion that it has gone to serve, in part, indoctrinating the fans towards the idea of world government. It’s very subtle. Earth of the Trek universe isn’t ruled over by certain bloodlines. There aren’t roid-head shock troops rousting people at work and at home. There are no official stories tossed about to guide public opinion. It’s like they’ve gotten over all the crap we’re dealing with in yet another abortive attempt to force this system upon us. The problem is that Star Trek works. People aren’t chasing avarice and dissipation. They look free. The universe in those shows looks quite inviting, especially compared to the crap that was going on in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s.
And so I was taken in, for a time, by the idea of a unified world. But I wanted that as the model, not this Wal-Marted, Made In China, RFID idea with suspected terror under every placemat and people turning each other in to the police with text messages. But Trek is not completely free either. The hidden controls are a bit harder to identify. Everyone is tissue typed and DNA/RNA mapped. Since everything is provided and no one works for profit, to do so is looked at as barbaric. That is the method of the Ferengi, for example. There are a few out and out parallels: International Law/Interstellar Law; United Nations/United Federation of Planets; The UN has the “Peacekeepers”/Star Fleet.
While I do still watch the episodes and I do appreciate the entertainment/diversion value of the shows, I have to question Mr. Roddenberry’s motives when he says it was supposed to be a “space western.” The West and the UN are well not exactly the same. So I wonder if he didn’t have to add in the globalist/”unity” elements back in the 1960s in order to get approval/funding.
I’ll have to divert power from my alarm system to operate the deflector array since someone will be wanting to fire torpedoes at my truck.
Ancient Injustice

To arrive at a place and then pronounce as evil the means by which you got there curses your followers and will eventually have you cursing your successors.
That’s all I have time for right now. If you want to know what I am talking about, look up “Astro Theology.”
Sigh, some accents
June 15th, 2008 § 0
I’m pretty good at filtering accented English and understanding what people are saying. Then there is that odd person who layers his speech and starts one sentence before finishing the last and it seems like I would have an easier time understanding him in his native language which most times I don’t speak.
Oklahoma grows balls
June 15th, 2008 § 0
In March the following resolution passed both houses of the Oklahoma Congress:
STATE OF OKLAHOMA
2nd Session of the 51st Legislature (2008)
HOUSE JOINT
RESOLUTION 1089 By: Key
AS INTRODUCED
A Joint Resolution claiming sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over certain powers; serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates; and directing distribution.
WHEREAS, the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States reads as follows:
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”; and
WHEREAS, the Tenth Amendment defines the total scope of federal power as being that specifically granted by the Constitution of the United States and no more; and
WHEREAS, the scope of power defined by the Tenth Amendment means that the federal government was created by the states specifically to be an agent of the states; and
WHEREAS, today, in 2008, the states are demonstrably treated as agents of the federal government; and
WHEREAS, many federal mandates are directly in violation of the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States; and
WHEREAS, the United States Supreme Court has ruled in New York v. United States, 112 S. Ct. 2408 (1992), that Congress may not simply commandeer the legislative and regulatory processes of the states; and
WHEREAS, a number of proposals from previous administrations and some now pending from the present administration and from Congress may further violate the Constitution of the United States.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SENATE OF THE 2ND SESSION OF THE 51ST OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
THAT the State of Oklahoma hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States. THAT this serve as Notice and Demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers.
THAT a copy of this resolution be distributed to the President of the United States, the President of the United States Senate, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, the Speaker
of the House and the President of the Senate of each state’s legislature of the United States of America, and each member of the Oklahoma Congressional Delegation.
I’m not a Constitutional scholar. In fact I’ve always found the wording to be a bit vague in Article 10. I believe what the Oklahoma Legislature is saying is that the Executive Branch has, through the use of these Extra-constitutional Acts has tried to reverse the Bill of Rights under the guise of fighting terror and other acts in the name of safety and security. What actions the Federal Government is going to take in response is something we’ll have to see.
Time Wasted Talking
June 14th, 2008 § 0
I spoke recently with someone who said they had questions about something. Then while I’m trying to answer the questions they ask me to put the response in writing because they’re “better with paper.” Then why not just give me the questions on paper as well?
