Ecumenism for freedom

We need to stop riding each other on doctrinal crap. We can argue when we get our freedoms back. That means the Baptists need to meet the Methodists at the steakhouse at 12:31pm on Sunday instead of trying to beat them to the steakhouse. But we have to go beyond that. We need to start crossing some boundaries we set years back. Anyone think to ask someone from the LDS church about storing food? We can learn from each other. We can help each other. The world depends on it. The country depends on it. Pettiness and prejudice are luxuries we can no longer afford.

Another take on the left-right paradigm

This is a bird. It is a carrion eater. Some might say it’s an ugly bird. It has a left wing and a right wing. The two work in concert. Any appearance of one wing working against the other is by choice as the bird is turning. Politics makes up an even larger and uglier bird. Politics also has a left wing and a right wing. Unlike the vulture, the bird of politics has a very erratic pattern of flight with one wing appearing to be at odds with the other. In fact most people see either one wing or the other wing flapping, seldom both. This bird is a predator/carrion eater, consuming both the living and the dead. Despite the wobbly wing motion politics is on a course. It is up to us to alter the flight path.

Water is H₂O.

Water with anything added to it is no longer water. It is SOLUTION.

This includes all additives: Chloride, Fluoride, Sulfur, Sodium, Potassium, Sweeteners.

ALL OF IT.

Since the utility companies are adding stuff to the water we actually pay for solution and waste solution.

A prophet as salient today as 3000 years ago

This is something that was said long ago to an arrogant, self-absorbed ruler which should be spoken to all heads of state.

Daniel was called in to interpret King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. He told the king that he would crawl on all fours and eat grass like a beast.

Then he said, “…until you understand that it is G-d who rules over the kingdoms of men and bestows them upon whom he wishes.”

Nebuchadnezzar spent seven years moving around like some kind of cross between a cow and a tree sloth. But. He finally got it and acknowledged who it is that rules the universe.

It wasn’t too late for him and I don’t think it’s too late for these arseholes we see on TV and read about on the web. However it requires humility…something the current heads of state are strangers to.
