Guardian Angel
I was 6 years old and a first grader. This may have happened during lunch maybe not. I remember there were kids out in the hallway from several of the classrooms. I wandered down the hall a few rooms in front of one of the 2nd grade classes and stopped, looking around. There was a boy who was bigger than I was standing in front of the wall. He said, “fatty.” I was overweight as a child. I turned and looked at him. He said, “you fat dog.” I think there might have been another kid standing next to him. This happened 38 years ago. Here’s where it gets spooky. I reached out and shoved him into the wall. He hit the wall and slid down to a sitting position. I stood over him for a second. He was looking up at me with shock/surprise on his face…maybe even fear. I don’t know. Then I walked away and don’t remember ever seeing him again. No one told any of the teachers and none of the teachers saw any of what happened. I’ve thought about that little event over the years and what I remember was not feeling anything. I didn’t feel angry or vengeful or prideful like “you can’t say that to me.” I felt nothing. And now that I’ve started to reexamine paranormal type things I have to wonder whether it was just the fact that I reacted when he said what he said or whether there was some sort of guardian angel at work there.
